Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations. Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures. Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment. Good time management, teamwork, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining food quality and hygiene standards. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and portion requirements. Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, seasoning, and measuring food items. Cook a variety of dishes using appropriate cooking methods and kitchen equipment. Ensure that meals meet the required standards for taste, presentation, quality, and consistency. Monitor cooking times, food temperatures, and portion sizes. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas. Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times. Store ingredients and prepared food properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. Check ingredient supplies and inform the supervisor of shortages or replenishment requirements. Operate kitchen equipment safely and report equipment problems when necessary. Minimize food waste and follow proper food handling and storage procedures. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of meals. Assist with menu preparation and other kitchen duties as assigned.
