Renaissance Economic Development Corporation (REDC), a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Advisor Support Intern. This internship opportunity is designed for individuals fluent in Filipino, Thai, or Vietnamese to assist the Business Advisor team in providing essential financial, technical, and educational support to diverse immigrant and minority-owned small businesses.
Common responsibilities for this position include:
- Providing language translation and cultural interpretation support for client intake, advisory sessions, and financial documents.
- Assisting Business Advisors in conducting community outreach and educational workshops targeted at Filipino, Thai, or Vietnamese-speaking entrepreneurs.
- Conducting market research, industry analysis, and gathering data to assist clients with business planning and development.
- Helping clients organize and compile necessary financial documents and paperwork for loan applications.
- Maintaining accurate client records and inputting service data into the organization's database systems.
- Supporting the administrative needs of the advisory team, including scheduling client appointments and managing initial inquiries.
