High school graduate and technical vocational graduate. At least 3–5 years of experience in a CNC Turner position. College graduate in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanics, as specified in the vacancy; alternatively, a relevant vocational qualification in CNC programming may be considered with extensive experience. Proven experience operating a 2-axis CNC lathe, preferably the Gildemeister CTX400 S2. Ability to independently program CNC machines using Heidenhain Turn Plus or ISO controls. Knowledge of machining tolerances, surface finishes, and geometric tolerances. Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, maintain precision, and produce quality components efficiently. Responsibilities: Operate a 2-axis CNC lathe, specifically the Gildemeister CTX400 S2. Independently program CNC turning machines using Heidenhain Turn Plus or ISO controls. Interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and machining instructions. Manufacture custom components and small production batches of up to 100 units. Program and produce multiple different parts daily according to production requirements. Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters, and workholding methods. Set up machines, monitor machining operations, and make adjustments when necessary. Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specified tolerances. Check surface finishes and geometric tolerances to maintain required quality standards. Occasionally complete pre-programmed production batches on MAZAK lathes. Identify machining defects and troubleshoot programming or production issues. Maintain production records and follow quality control procedures. Keep machines, tools, and the work area clean, safe, and organized. Coordinate with the lead machinist and other production personnel to meet manufacturing deadlines.
