Job Vacancy: WHEEL/TIRE ALIGNER Employer/Company: Ace Alloy Wheel Repair Job Location: Australia Ace Alloy Wheel Repair is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wheel/Tire Aligner to join its automotive workshop team in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting wheels and tires, performing wheel alignment checks and adjustments, identifying alignment-related issues, and ensuring that wheels and tires meet applicable safety and performance standards. The role requires practical automotive knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to operate alignment equipment safely and accurately. WHEEL/TIRE ALIGNER Qualifications: Previous experience as a Wheel Aligner, Tire Technician, Automotive Technician, or related workshop professional is preferred. Practical knowledge of wheel and tire inspection, alignment procedures, and automotive workshop operations. Familiarity with computerized wheel alignment machines and related measuring equipment. Understanding of wheel alignment angles, including camber, caster, and toe. Ability to interpret alignment readings and follow vehicle-specific adjustment specifications. Basic knowledge of steering and suspension systems and their relationship to wheel alignment. Familiarity with tire mounting, wheel balancing, and wheel installation procedures is an advantage. Ability to identify tire wear patterns, wheel damage, and alignment-related problems. Knowledge of safe vehicle lifting, wheel removal, and wheel refitting procedures. Good attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work. Strong practical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly. Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and proper equipment handling. Ability to work independently and cooperate effectively with a team. Good communication, organization, and time-management skills. Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on workshop duties. Reliable, responsible, hardworking, and willing to follow company procedures. Responsibilities: Inspect wheels and tires for visible damage, uneven wear, defects, and other irregularities. Perform wheel alignment inspections and adjustments using appropriate alignment equipment. Check wheel alignment angles, including camber, caster, and toe, where applicable. Measure and assess wheel and tire condition to identify alignment-related problems. Operate wheel alignment machines, measuring instruments, tire service equipment, and related workshop tools. Interpret alignment readings and make appropriate adjustments according to vehicle specifications. Inspect steering and suspension components for wear, damage, or conditions that may affect alignment. Identify uneven tire wear, steering pull, vibration, and other symptoms associated with wheel alignment issues. Remove and refit wheels and tires using appropriate tools and equipment when required. Check tire pressure and inspect tire condition as part of the assigned service procedures. Ensure wheels are properly fitted and wheel fasteners are tightened according to the applicable specifications. Perform wheel balancing or assist with tire mounting when required and within the assigned scope of work. Conduct post-adjustment checks to verify that alignment settings meet the required specifications. Report damaged wheels, defective tires, worn suspension components, and other safety concerns to the supervisor. Maintain accurate records of alignment readings, adjustments, inspections, and completed work when required. Follow vehicle manufacturer specifications, workshop procedures, and quality standards. Maintain alignment equipment and workshop tools in clean and serviceable condition. Follow workplace health and safety procedures when handling wheels, tires, machinery, and vehicle lifting equipment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Coordinate with mechanics, fitters, technicians, and other workshop personnel to ensure efficient service. Perform other wheel, tire, and automotive workshop duties assigned by management.
