Patient, compassionate, responsible, and respectful when assisting clients. Ability to follow care instructions and work effectively with clients, families, and other care professionals. Responsibilities: Assist clients with bathing, showering, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene. Help clients with toileting, continence care, and changing clothes or protective garments. Assist clients with mobility, transfers, walking, and proper positioning. Prepare and serve meals and assist clients with eating when necessary. Provide medication reminders in accordance with the care plan and authorized instructions. Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment. Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, recreational activities, and other necessary outings. Monitor clients’ health, behavior, and daily needs and promptly report any changes to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional. Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support. Encourage clients to maintain independence and participate in appropriate daily activities. Follow individual care plans, workplace policies, and health and safety procedures. Respect clients’ privacy, dignity, personal preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
