Common Job Roles and Responsibilities of an Exploration Geologist:
- Conducting geological field mapping, core logging, and geochemical sampling to identify potential resource deposits.
- Analyzing and interpreting seismic, satellite, and geophysical data to map subsurface structures.
- Designing, supervising, and executing exploratory drilling programs.
- Utilizing specialized software to construct 3D geological models and estimate resource reserves.
- Preparing comprehensive technical reports, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with environmental scientists and engineers to ensure field operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
