Job Description
Position: IT Assistant
Report to: IT Manager
Role
The IT Assistant will support the daily operations of the Information Technology department by providing technical assistance, managing software and hardware systems, and ensuring the security of IT infrastructure. This person will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as performing basic IT administration tasks.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems, including desktops, laptops, and printers.
Manage user accounts, passwords, and email accounts.
Ensure the security of IT infrastructure and data by applying security updates, monitoring network traffic, and performing regular backups.
Maintain inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and supplies.
Collaborate with other IT staff to plan and implement technology projects.
Provide training and support to users on various software applications.
Follow IT policies and procedures, including change management, incident management, and data protection.
Create Knowledge base articles to document procedures and problem resolution steps.
Familiar with Windows 11 and Windows Server environment
Knowledge of AEC and structural software is an added advantage
Knowledge of Linux and Mac Operating Systems
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems
Strong Communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
Associates or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
CCNA, MCSA Certification
