Job Vacancy: RIGGER Employer/Company: T-Three Projects DMW Accreditation No.: 9146 Job Location: Zambia RIGGER Qualifications: At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Rigger or in a similar position. No minimum educational attainment is required for this position. TESDA NC II or NC III certification in Rigging, as specified in the vacancy. Practical knowledge of rigging gear, load calculations, lifting equipment, and safe load-handling techniques. Experience in mining or heavy construction projects is preferred. Strong understanding of applicable OSHA/ISO standards and mining safety protocols. Good physical strength and stamina to work in remote mining environments and perform demanding tasks. Ability to communicate effectively with crane operators, signalers, and other site personnel. Commitment to workplace safety and proper handling of heavy loads. Responsibilities: Evaluate the weight, dimensions, and balance of mining equipment, machinery, and construction materials before lifting. Inspect rigging equipment, including slings, chains, hooks, and shackles, for wear, damage, and compliance with safety requirements. Select and assemble suitable rigging gear based on load characteristics and lifting requirements. Secure loads to cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment using appropriate rigging techniques. Install pulleys, blocks, and other lifting devices on mining structures when required. Direct crane operators and equipment operators during lifting operations using standard hand signals or radios. Guide heavy loads safely through confined spaces and rugged terrain. Assist in positioning machinery, piping, structural steel, and other components according to project specifications. Verify load security and maintain safe distances during lifting and movement operations. Follow approved lifting plans, site safety procedures, and applicable occupational safety standards. Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, and potential lifting hazards to supervisors.
