Career Opportunity in Malta!Job Vacancy: BESTPOKE FURNITURE CARPENTER Employer/Company: JOINWELL FXB Job Location: MaltaBESTPOKE FURNITURE CARPENTERQualifications:Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.At least High School Graduate.Previous experience as a Furniture Carpenter, Bespoke Furniture Carpenter, Cabinet Maker, Joiner, or similar position is preferred.Strong practical experience in custom and bespoke furniture manufacturing.Ability to read and interpret furniture designs, technical drawings, measurements, and specifications.Skilled in measuring, marking, cutting, shaping, drilling, joining, and assembling furniture components.Experience manufacturing cabinets, wardrobes, tables, shelving, fitted units, and other custom furniture.Knowledge of different wood, wood-based boards, laminates, and other furniture materials.Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, woodworking machinery, and workshop equipment.Experience installing hinges, handles, drawer runners, locks, brackets, and other hardware.Knowledge of furniture assembly, alignment, fitting, and installation.Experience with sanding, staining, painting, polishing, varnishing, and other finishing techniques.Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.Good measurement, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop or production team.Physically fit and capable of standing, lifting, carrying, and handling furniture materials.Strong awareness of workplace health and safety procedures.Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented.Must have a valid passport.Must be able to speak and communicate in English.Responsibilities:Read and interpret furniture designs, technical drawings, plans, and specifications.Measure, mark, cut, shape, and join wood and other furniture materials accurately.Manufacture bespoke and custom-made furniture according to approved designs and specifications.Construct cabinets, wardrobes, tables, shelving units, fitted furniture, storage units, and other custom pieces.Select appropriate materials, tools, fittings, and construction methods for each project.Operate hand tools, power tools, woodworking machinery, and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.Cut timber, plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, and other furniture materials according to measurements.Shape, drill, route, sand, and prepare furniture components for assembly.Assemble furniture components and ensure proper alignment, dimensions, strength, and fit.Install hinges, handles, drawer runners, locks, brackets, fasteners, and other furniture hardware.Install and adjust doors, drawers, shelves, panels, and other fitted components.Check completed furniture pieces for accuracy, stability, alignment, and overall workmanship.Make adjustments and corrections when components do not meet required specifications.Perform sanding, staining, painting, polishing, varnishing, and other furniture finishing work as required.Ensure finished surfaces are smooth, clean, even, and free from visible defects.Carry out repairs, modifications, and refinishing work when required.Prepare materials and components for production while minimizing material waste.Maintain accurate measurements and follow project specifications throughout the manufacturing process.Work with supervisors, designers, installers, and other workshop personnel to complete projects according to schedule.Assist with the installation of bespoke furniture and fitted units at customer locations when required.Handle furniture materials and completed products carefully to prevent damage.Maintain woodworking tools, machinery, and workshop equipment in safe and good working condition.Clean and organize the workshop, workstations, tools, and production areas.Follow workplace health and safety procedures when using woodworking machinery, power tools, paints, stains, and finishing materials.Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing woodworking and finishing activities.Inspect materials before use and report defects or unsuitable materials to the supervisor.Meet required quality standards, project deadlines, and customer specifications.Perform other carpentry, furniture manufacturing, installation, and finishing duties assigned by management.Requirements:Update and detailed Resume in Word format or PDF with a pictureEmployment CertificateTraining CertificatePassport CopyVisit our office for an initial interview: Principalia Management & Personnel Consultants, Inc.
