This integrated role encompasses responsibilities across Intelligence Instruction and Training (IIT), Opposing Forces (OPFOR), General Role Playing, and specialized foreign language integration for Tagalog/Filipino and Mandarin/Chinese. Common Job Roles and Responsibilities of an IIT Role Player (North Carolina):
- Portray specific scenario-based characters, including intelligence sources, local civilians, host-nation officials, or opposing elements during tactical training exercises.
- Provide authentic native or near-native language immersion and cultural realism using fluent Tagalog/Filipino or Mandarin/Chinese.
- Execute Opposing Forces (OPFOR) tactics, techniques, and behaviors in accordance with specific exercise control directives and script guidelines.
- Challenge trainees in real-time to evaluate and improve their tactical decision-making, interrogation, intelligence collection, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Maintain character consistency and adapt dynamically to trainee actions within the boundaries of the training scenario.
- Follow all safety regulations, operational directives, and site-specific guidelines established by exercise controllers.
- Participate in exercise debriefings to provide feedback on scenario effectiveness and trainee performance.
