Job Description

Since 1973, this Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) has dedicated itself to serving the San Diego County community. Originally established in a downtown San Diego barbershop by Filipino health professionals, the organization was founded to provide essential healthcare services to immigrants facing financial, linguistic, and system navigation barriers. To support this ongoing mission of providing accessible, high-quality care, the center is seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Therapist.

Common responsibilities of a Substance Abuse Therapist in this role include:

- Conducting clinical assessments and evaluations to diagnose substance use disorders.
- Developing and updating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's recovery goals.
- Facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Offering crisis intervention, case management, and referrals to external support networks.
