Key responsibilities of a Jumbo Driller include:
- Operating heavy underground jumbo drilling rigs to drill blast holes according to technical specifications.
- Installing various ground support systems, including rock bolts, mesh, and shotcrete, to secure underground structures.
- Performing pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on drilling machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Reading and interpreting geological maps, mining plans, and survey data to guide drilling paths.
- Collaborating with mining engineers and shotfirers to ensure precise and safe blasting operations.
- Adhering to strict occupational health and safety guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
