### **Key Responsibilities**
* **Vehicle Operation:** Safely and efficiently operate heavy transport vehicles across construction sites, highways, rural terrains, and tight access areas under varying weather conditions.
* **Hauling & Load Management:** Transport aggregates, heavy machinery, building supplies, and equipment; oversee safe loading, load distribution, tie-downs, and tarping/covering in accordance with safety standards.
* **Maintenance & Inspections:** Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections (checking tires, brakes, fluid levels, lights, and emergency equipment); report mechanical defects or maintenance needs promptly.
* **Regulatory Compliance:** Adhere strictly to New Zealand traffic laws, site-specific traffic management plans, and workplace health and safety (WHS) guidelines
