Common responsibilities of an ATA Certified Translator include:

- Translating written documents, technical reports, and digital content accurately from the source language to the target language while preserving the original context, tone, and meaning.
- Conducting in-depth linguistic research and utilizing terminology databases to ensure the correct use of industry-specific vocabulary.
- Reviewing, editing, and proofreading translated materials to guarantee grammatical correctness, stylistic flow, and overall quality assurance.
- Collaborating with project managers and clients to clarify ambiguities and ensure all project specifications and deadlines are met.
- Applying cultural localization principles to adapt content appropriately for the target audience.
