Position Overview: Live-In Caregiver (Ontario)
A dedicated, live-in caregiver is required to provide comprehensive, in-home support for an elderly woman with advanced dementia in Ontario. This is a residential position; candidates must be willing and able to relocate and reside in the client's home. To be considered, applicants must possess a valid and legal work permit. The family is specifically seeking a caregiver of Filipino heritage to best support the client's cultural background and comfort.
Common Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Providing personalized daily care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Managing and administering medications according to prescribed schedules.
- Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with dietary needs.
- Assisting with mobility, transfers, and physical exercises.
- Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment.
- Offering companionship, emotional support, and engaging the client in cognitive stimulation activities suitable for individuals with dementia.
