Job Description

The Metallurgy Technician position is open to qualified professionals, with a particular focus on candidates of Bangladeshi heritage, East Indian descent from Guyana, Trinidad, or East Africa, and Southeast Asian backgrounds, including those of Burmese, Cambodian, Filipino, and Laotian origins.

Common responsibilities of a Metallurgy Technician include:

- Preparing metal and alloy samples through cutting, mounting, grinding, and polishing for laboratory analysis.
- Conducting microscopic and macroscopic examinations to evaluate crystalline structures, grain size, and identify material defects.
- Performing mechanical and physical testing, including hardness, tensile, impact, and non-destructive assessments.
- Operating, calibrating, and maintaining specialized laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
- Documenting test results, analyzing material failures, and drafting detailed technical reports.
- Adhering strictly to laboratory safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality assurance standards.
